For Spring Summer 2025, you are cordially invited to join Liberty Fabrics as we raise the curtain on Retold, a 150-year anniversary theatrical spectacular. Divided into four acts – The Stage, The Cast, The Audience, The Next Act – this collection goes behind scenes of the iconic Tudor building and into the eclectic emporium where our story is retold. Crafted from two timber ships, the Liberty flagship forms the perfect stage to welcome this play’s cast of influential characters who have paved the way for an array of artistic movements. Dressed to entice and delight its viewers, from music legends and models to writers and actors, Liberty’s customers are our most inspiring muse. Whoever steps through the elaborate façade is taken on an extraordinary journey of magic, mystery, and charm. Finally, as we move onto the next act, a new generation of designers begin to experiment with the boundaries of technology and art.

Created using smudged strokes of chalk pastels mixed with a classic Liberty broken outline, this soft ditsy floral takes inspiration from whimsical lyrics and melodies heard on a summers day. Swifts Song is part of The Audience act of Retold, celebrating the characterful and lively Liberty shopper, from Oscar Wilde in the 19th century to the artists, writers, musicians, rock legends, models and actors that have flocked to Regent Street since – our discerning audience is one of Liberty’s most inspiring muses for SS25.

The design is printed by experts at our own Liberty Printing Mill in northern Italy onto classic cotton poplin. An attractive woven fabric with a pleasant hand feel and rich yarn construction, this poplin is characterised by the comfort and breathability that makes it perfect to wear in all seasons. Use Piccadilly poplin to create classic shirts and blouses in timeless cuts, or experiment with lightweight dresses and skirts for carefree appeal.
